I am Garry, aka savessh and it’s about time I seriously started to use a blog.  I’ve had one before, and I frequent facebook and twitter, but neither of those allow you to express anything but short spammy crap.  I’ll probably still do that, but I’ll try and make this site a little more interesting.  I’m a 38 computer teacher from outside Sydney Australia and my job involves training adults in the use of Office, Windows the internet and so forth.  It’s almost 15 years since I started, but the people I see are always such a variety that it keeps it interesting.  Plus, if I didn’t do that, I have no idea what else I would do with my life.   I don’t earn much money, but I suppose I must enjoy it.

Other things I’m interested in include gaming… well, actually not so much gaming but modding the games.  If you don’t know what modding is, it’s where you get a computer game, and change various parts of it to suit yourself and keep it more interesting.  It requires a lot of tools and there’s always more to learn.   Far from being an expert, I try and keep myself amused.   Of course I play the games, but these days it’s the modding that keeps me hooked.

Another interest is movies.  I’d say it’s a hobby, but I guess pretty much everyone has films they are particularly interested in.  I’m no movie buff although I do get quite absorbed by Sci-Fi and some horror.  I don’t really have a genre of movie I like.  If pressed I’d say sci-fi but I like quite a few outside that genre.  One thing that irks me and no doubt I shall rant about on this blog is the extreme amount of remakes coming out of Hollywood recently.

This blog will include random things I’ve found on the net that interest me, and hopefully you the reader.  Also I will include snippets of work I’m am doing on the computer with regards to modding, gaming and whatever else.  I’m not sure how far it will go, but there’s at least now a start.
